Abertay welcomes applicants from Bangladesh with various academic backgrounds and assesses each application on its own merit. Undergraduate: Completion of the HSC with an average of 70% (GPA 4.0/5.0) or higher for direct entry. Students with lower grades may be required to complete an International Foundation Year. Postgraduate: A recognised 4-year Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in Bangladesh with a minimum of 55% to 60% (GPA 2.75/4.0 or above). English Proficiency: IELTS: A score of 6.0 (with no component below 5.5) is the standard. Exceptions: Programs like MSc Counselling or Nursing may require a 7.0. Alternatives: PTE Academic (59 overall) and TOEFL iBT (78 overall) are also accepted.

Abertay provides generous financial support to help Bangladeshi students make their UK education more affordable. Abertay International Scholarship: An automatic tuition fee reduction of £3,000 per year. This can total £12,000 over a 4-year undergraduate degree or provide a significant discount on a 1-year Master's. Principal’s Excellence Scholarship: Additional awards for students with exceptional academic achievements. Early Bird Discount: A 5% discount on the net tuition fee is often available for students who pay their full fees before registration. GREAT Scholarship: In partnership with the British Council, awards worth £10,000 are occasionally available for specific postgraduate courses.

Tuition fees at Abertay are competitive and transparent. For the 2026/27 academic year, international fees for most programs are generally structured as follows: Undergraduate (BA, BEng, BSc): Approximately £16,950 per year. Postgraduate (MA, MSc, LLB): Approximately £15,750 – £18,950. Global MBA: Approximately £19,950.
